Last year was the Year of the Snake. A year of shedding, transformation and leaving things that no longer serve you behind. For me, that symbolism couldn't have been more literal. I shed an old life, an old version of myself, and cleared space for the year ahead. 

The year of the horse, specifically ~ the fire horse. A year of transformation, movement, freedom, courage, independence, action and finally... running towards what's next.

So I felt compelled to honour this period of time, and create a deeply personal keepsake to remind myself of how far I have come, and how strong I am. How strong we all are, when we are truly tested. 

While I was dreaming up this artwork, I kept hearing these words over and over again in my head: "The shedding is done, now we run" ~ so naturally, I had to include this.

Three horseshoes adorn this tee, serving as good luck charms (one large one on the back, and one on each sleeve) because if we're going to run into this next chapter, we may as well take a little luck with us.
